At the Park

My family just loved the nice weather here in Washington! They came from Arizona where the temperature was 117 almost every day while they were here. We spent most days outside, at the park, and having picnics.

Kassie and Kaylee catching some rays.

My handsome mreshess mup, Sawyer.

Kaylee and Kassie being silly. There like 20 of these on my camera. They went wild with silly poses. The handsome Connor, gathering sticks for his arrows he was making.
Kaylee decided to climb the tree.

Connor, working on his arrows.

Painting!

We went a bit crazy with some paint when my family came. My dad is a good sport and was willing to help us out, and teach us some tricks of the trade. We decided to go with a really nice yellow in the dining room. When they first started painting, I was close to tears. I kept saying to my mom, that's not the color I picked out! It was hideously bright. But after it dried it was perfect! It was exactly what I wanted and made the room look great.

Dale, working around the baseboards.

My dad. I don't know why he wanted to paint the ladder to match... just kidding, the ladder was already yellow... We also changed that light fixture in the dining room, so that is looking much better, too.

Dale, having fun with the paint brush, and very excited to make our house more homey.

We went with a bright green in the kitchen, and I love it! I was in love with my house before, but if it's possible, I'm more in love with it now!
You can see part of the finished wall in the dining room. Love it! And my dad is cutting in with the green paint, so Dale can roll the walls.
A before shot of the kitchen! Wait until you see the after! We decided to do a red accent wall in the living room, and we didn't get any pictures of it being done! My dad started on it while we were all asleep! You'll just have to wait for the after picture, but that looks great too!

A Walk to the Park

My family brought their dogs with them, well two of the three, who are Sawyer's brother and sister. Quite the family reunion we had. This is Kaylee and her dog Jack, Connor has Sawyer, and Kassie has her dog Belle.
This is Kassie just being funny, but I think it's a great picture of her. She looks like she belongs in a catalog.
My dad and Dale playing catch at the park. Dale is in the far back with the dogs around him.
Kaylee is crazy! But look how strong Kassie is!

Pike Place Market

My family came to visit the end of June and we had a blast! We went shopping at the outlet mall by my house, Dale and my dad went to shoot clay pigeons and we all took a trip down to Seattle for Pike Place Market.

There's this little antique store that my mom, sisters and I have been wanting to check out since they were here last, in October after Brighton was born. So we finally did that! You can see it behind my dad and brother. Can you believe how big he is? He'll be nine this month. Crazy.

From left, Kassie, me, Brighton, and Kaylee going up the billions of steps to get to the market. We had to take a photo break.

My mom is IN LOVE with Starbucks. So, naturally, she had to get a picture in front of the very first Starbucks ever!

Dale and I in front of the market. What a beautiful Seattle day!

After the market, we went for a walk down by the piers. My mom and Connor looking fabulous! My family!
Brighton and Grandpa having fun!
Brighton is very happy it's time for lunch!

Slumber Party

A few weeks ago, I watched my friend Heather's dogs, Missy and Rocky. Brighton loved the little puppy (he's three months old) and he couldn't get enough of her!
Rocky would crawl into Brighton's lap and just hang out. Sawyer is getting a bit jealous!

Brighton says, "Missy, we have the same hair-do!"
Cute little Rocky!

Happy Father's Day!

We took this on Father's day after we got home from church. We had a fun day just hanging out and watching some of Dale's favorite movies. I also got to wear my BRAND NEW high waisted skirt that I love! I didn't realize it until we took the picture, but Dale and I are dressed in the same colors, just flip flop the top and bottom. Brighton seems to be the only one who wanted to wear some color that day...

Playing With Blocks

Brighton was starting to get a little cranky and tired, and not playing along as wonderfully as she was BEFORE I pulled out the camera. But she's still so cute! She was laughing hysterically every time she knocked down the tower of blocks.

Cottage Cheese

Yes, Brighton is old enough to now move on to some dairy products. She's not too fond of cheese, but she loved the cottage cheese that I gave her. She ate a whole bowl!

Yo Quiero Taco Bell

We stopped off at Dale's weakness, Taco Bell, for some dinner on our way home from Hood River. I gave Brighton my water cup and you would have thought it was a pony for how excited she got. She played with it for hours.

Where am I?

I thought I was in Washington, but what is all this dry grass and dirt? What's with the stickly bushes? This looks like Arizona!!!
Except for this whole lots of water thing...
