We've been doing ok with a breast pump and bottle the past two weeks, except now Mason refuses to nurse. Each time I've tried to get him to suck, he sort of acts like, "what do you expect me to do with this?" So he's exclusively on the bottle. He's so lazy! It makes my wardrobe choices a little easier now that I don't have to factor breastfeeding in. We'll see how long the pumping lasts- it takes up so much time in the day- and quality time with Brighton. I'm thinking we might need a mommy/daughter date this weekend.
That's it on the hunk for now. We'll be having his 2 month appointment in two weeks, so we'll have more to tell then!

I'm so glad to hear that he's gaining weight! That's a bummer that he won't nurse anymore. But you're definitely right about that making dressing easier for you, especially for church. I hope you'll be able to keep the pumping up for awhile. Good luck!
Pumping is a pain. Try and pump a little before you latch him and then use a nipple shield(kind of like a bottle nipple). Maybe that will help him get back to nursing.

well it is a good thing he has gained. Congrats! Too bad about the lazy eating though. I guess that could be both a good thing and a bad thing. But yes the wardrobe thing would be nice. Brighton would love a mommy daughter date! Hope you find something to do.
